Organic - Basil, or sweet basil, originated in India. Dried and fresh basil have two distinctly different flavours – fresh basil is very pungent, while dried basil has a more subtle flavour that resonates of mint. Basil has become very popular particularly in Italian and other Mediterranean cuisines and its uses are now innumerable in both Asian and European cooking.
